Instruction:

1. Remove battery caps.

2. Insert nozzle of hydrometer in battery ceil, squeeze bulb until fluid reaches level line.

3. Tap hydrometer lightly to remove bubbles.

4. Small pointer at top must be vertical. Large pointer indicates battery condition.

5. Return fluid to the same cell from which it was taken.

6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each cell.

7. Flush hydrometer with clean water when finished.

Note:

1. Readings can change when temperature of fluid changes.

2. The reading will not be accurate if water has been just recently added to the cells.

3. Difference of 50 points or more between readings in battery cells may indicate pending battery failure.
